Brazilian-born clarinetist Tiago Delgado promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion through collaborative music-making. Tiago worked as a lecturer at Memorial University of Newfoundland after serving as a teaching artist (agent of artistic experience; inspiring children to achieve their full potential through orchestral music) at the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra and at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Palestine through the non-profit organization “Project: Music Heal Us/Novel Voices: Distance Learning”. From chamber collaborations at Music@Memorialc, 21C Music Festival, Ottawa Chamberfest, Stratford Summer Music, Toronto Summer Music, Festival of the Sound- Parry Sound, Orford Winds, and Festival Musique de Chamber Lac Baker, to orchestral music-making touring Brazil’s main concert venues such as Sala São Paulo, Tiago is currently pursuing (almost done, hanging in there!) a Doctorate in clarinet performance at the University of Toronto and has lived experiences at IU's Jacobs School of Music, Kent State University, and UFMG (Brazil).
